The LEVA® autoinjector from Bang & Olufsen Medicom wins ’2009 GOOD DESIGN™ Award’

Designed and developed in Denmark and aimed at patients globally. The innovative and user friendly LEVA® autoinjector has received the prestigious design award ’GOOD DESIGN’.
The Chicago Athenaeum founded the GOOD DESIGN program in 1950 and today it is one of the most recognized programs for design excellence worldwide. Early participants were formable designers including Eero Saarinen, and Charles and Ray Eames.
Every year the program sees a large number of entries from around the world. This year submitted designs ranged from manned Mars exploration vehicles to clean water filtering systems. 500 designs from 35 countries received the attractive GOOD DESIGN Award for design distinction. The LEVA® auto injector was one of them.

LEVA® is developed with and for the patient suffering from chronic diseases like rheumatoid arthritis and multiple sclerosis. Modern, biologic drugs for home usage are often part of the treatment for these patients. B&O Medicom is working with a number of leading pharmaceutical companies to bring LEVA® to the patient.

LEVA® is a disposable autoinjector, designed to automatically deliver a single dosage when activated by the patient. It is developed by B&O Medicom and is to be used for injectable drugs.
