Medicom highlights unique innovation process at DDL conference


Bang & Olufsen Medicom were recently an industry guest speaker on technology development at the Drug Delivery to the Lungs (DDL) conference in Edinburgh which took place on the 30th November last. The two-day conference is held each year for leading respiratory physicians from all over Europe. The purpose of the event is to share the latest advances in tackling respiratory disease and to platform new technological advances in drug delivery mechanisms.

    The lecture by the Head of Sales and Marketing at Bang & Olufsen Medicom, Christian Husegaard was entitled “Consumer Electronics to Medical Devices: A Cross-industry perspective on Technology Development”. The lecture show-cased how years of consumer device experience, industrial design and the use of innovation processes within consumer products in the Bang & Olufsen group has been leveraged by Bang & Olufsen Medicom. Speaking at the conference, Mr Husegaard said; “ the presentation elaborates on our unique innovative development process and demonstrates how this approach has been adapted to develop user-friendly medical devices aimed at improving drug delivery and patient compliance.”
