CCCC 2008 – Unifying Forces to Improve Patient Compliance

Together with the University of Copenhagen, Bang & Olufsen Medicom gathered a number of leading experts and stakeholders to discuss patient compliance at Copenhagen Compliance & Concordance Conference (CCCC) on May 30.

The conference was a great success and provided a dedicated forum for discussing the reasons for non-compliance and its implications, as well as how to create better solutions for the future.

“Compliance is a topic with great implications for the national economy and of course – and even more important – for patient safety and quality of life,” stated the Danish Minister of Health and Prevention. He was followed by Brian Haynes, professor at McMaster University in Canada and author of the Cochrane Review on adherence, who continued: “Studies on patient compliance interventions show few positive results in improving adherence and clinical outcome.”
